Warm Boots Doesn't Mean Unsightly Winter Wellies, Not At TJ, Anyway!

Warm Boots Doesn't Mean Unsightly Winter Wellies, Not At TJ, Anyway!

31st Jan 2018

For some, January is the dullest month of the year.

The party season has officially ended, and although there might be a few business dinners to attend (because someone booked too late!), the fun is over.

But it shouldn't be.

Even though we're experiencing an unusually cold winter here in the UK, there's still no excuse to stay in. Going out doesn't mean you have to dress up in six layers and waddle about in unsightly wellies. You don't need snow boots designed in 1955 bought from a jumble sale.

Cinderella CAN go to the ball, and she can get there in style, fashion has moved on, and warm boots can look great as well as keep you cosy.

What we wear in winter

Let's face it, winter fashion has come on over the years, to the extent that many people look forward to the cold snap so they can get their latest warm, cosy and weather-ready clothes out of the wardrobe.

But there's been a trend of late to eschew the High Street and head towards the out-of-town outdoor stores.

You see them popping up all over the country, and they sell products that are designed to keep you dry in all weather. But it's hardly flattering.

I was recently at one of these stores and I noticed that they had a range of waterproof snow boots designed to get you safely to the top of Ben Nevis. They were expensive, and utility, but with a nod towards fashion, they'd added some stripes down the side of the ankle.

Nice.

They're not exactly elegant though.

Granted, they fit with the current hipster chique of wearing thick jumpers, hanging round in dimly lit bars and drinking strong beer out of jam jars, but they don't really inspire today's modern, forward-looking youth, and they look decidedly out of place in city clubs.

If mountaineering or camping in the rain is your thing, then sure, they're ideal and you need aheavy-duty waterproof snow boot, but what if you're after something you can wear to the office, and then walk straight through the snow to the bar, all at the same time looking fabulous?

And no, wellies from a certain well-known brand won't cut it.

They're still wellies.

If you live on a farm, fine. But I'm guessing you don't.

Here at TJ, we have the answer.

Women's fur-lined warm boots

Our warm boot collection is absolutely ideal when the weather threatens to force you into unsightly footwear.

Choose from a whole range of styles from suede to leather, short through to over-the-knee, or even a brogue trim that will provide a work-like elegance while still giving you a sure-footed weather resistant shoe that you can wear in all climates.

We use only the best leather in our shoes, and our lamb-fur lining will keep all of that winter cold at bay.

So don't settle for anything less, get out and enjoy the freedom, enjoy the snow and PARTY!
